These are two teams headed in opposing directions. The Royals have won 6/10 and are heating up. The Tigers have only won 3/10 and are mailing it in.
The odds favor Detroit today but only slightly, and it is because of their pitcher, Skubal, who is undoubtedly their ace. However the Royals are sending out Cole Ragans who is also very good with a 3.37 ERA and 153 strikeouts.
Out of the last 5 meetings between these two teams the Royals have won 4/5. Also, we had this exact pitching matchup back in late May, Ragans vs. Skubal, and the Royals won 8-3.
Skubal might keep the Tigers in it early but I see the Royals winning again as they continue their hot streak tonight.
